Puffy Pastry Waffles – “Puffles”– Four Ways

Are you only making ‘normal’ waffles in your waffle maker? Stop right now and try these savoury and sweet ‘Puffles’. They are delicious and so easy to make! All you need is some puff pastry and whatever fillings you like. Here are four filling ideas to try with puff pastry in a waffle maker:

Pizza Puffles

Ingredients

  • 4 puff pastry sheets the same size as one section of your waffle maker

  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce

  • 2 tbsp grated cheese

  • Any pizza toppings of your choice

Instructions

  • Place one sheet of puff pastry on each side of your waffle maker

  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over each sheet

  • Top with the cheese first and then the toppings of your choice

  • Place the remaining puff pastry sheets on top

  • Close the lid and cook

    Strawberry Cream Cheese Puffles

    • 4 tbsp cream cheese

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

    • 2 tbsp fine sugar

    • 4 puff pastry sheets

    • 4 strawberries, sliced

    • Mix the cream cheese, vanilla extract, and sugar together into a bowl

    • Place one sheet of pastry on each side of your waffle maker

    • Spread the mix onto each sheet

    • Top with the sliced strawberries

    • Place the remaining puff pastry sheets on top
