How to make Chocolate Christmas Trees

Looking for new ideas for festive snacks this Christmas? Look no further! These simple little chocolate trees will wow your little ones and add a bit of magic to the season.

Not only do these delicious little trees make for tasty treats for your little one, but they can also be used as decorations on gingerbread houses, cakes, and more! It’s a great recipe to keep in mind this Christmas.

What you’ll need:

  • 10 chocolate coated biscuit sticks
  • 150g milk or dark chocolate, melted
  • Sprinkles
  • 10 white chocolate stars

How to make your Chocolate Christmas Tree:

To start with, prep your workspace by laying down a sheet of greaseproof paper. Then, take your chocolate (if it’s a bar then break it up into pieces) and microwave it for 1 – 2 minutes. Stir every 30 seconds to make sure it doesn’t burn!

Once your chocolate is melted, you’ll want to work quickly! Although if it does start to harden again, you can always pop it back into the microwave for 30 seconds. Carefully pour the chocolate into a piping bag.

Lay one of your biscuit sticks on the greaseproof paper and then use the piping bag to drizzle melted chocolate back and forth to form a tree. Leave the bottom quarter of the stick bare – this will be the tree trunk!

Once you’re happy with the shape, add your sprinkles on top to decorate your mini Christmas tree. Christmas-themed sprinkles are best – we’ve used green and red balls – but it’s up to you!

To finish it off, add a white chocolate star to the top of your chocolate tree.

Repeat this for the rest of your biscuit sticks and then leave them all to harden. You can either leave them on the side for two hours, or speed up the process by placing them in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Once they’re set, you can carefully peel your trees off of the paper and serve up to your little one!
