Family days out in Dubai

Right, we’ve covered free and paid activities in Abu Dhabi and free activities in Dubai! But if you’ve got a bit of cash to spend and are looking for a lovely day out with the kids in Dubai – look no further.

We’ve selected our five most favourite activities with kids in Dubai

1. Oli Oli

http://www.olioli.ae

Self -described as Dubai’s first interactive museum for kids - It’s the ultimate day out for children of all ages.  Centered around positive play and the power of imagination with 8 galleries and over 40 exhibits, there’s plenty to stimulate the mind. Our favourite rooms were air, water and toddler. A fabulous location for birthday parties too.

It’s not the most affordable day but it is well worth it:

Child (2-18 years): AED 120 for 2 hours; AED 30 for each extra hour
Child (12-23 months): AED 60 for 2 hours; AED 15 for each extra hour
Child (0-11 months): Free
Adult: AED 40

2. Dubai Dinosaur Park and Garden Glow

With a record breaking 120 animatronics Dinosaurs on display, this Dinosaur park is perfectly designed to educate and entertain. We had just as much fun as the kids did. If you can stay on till after dark, then the Garden Glow park is equally amazing and my daughter described the whole experience as ‘magical’. Children up to 3 years of age are free and other entrants pay AED65 plus 5% VAT.

3. Legoland

I don’t think this place needs much explanation but Legoland makes for a great family day out. There is plenty for even the littlest of walkers to do with over 10 attractions with no minimum height requirement. There is also a water park inside so don’t forget your swim suits. Tickets can be purchased individually or as part of an annual pass – there’s also a three park pass to keep the littles entertained all year round.

4. Splashpad at The Beach, JBR

This paid activity is a little more affordable than the rest. For only AED 65 per hour for the kiddies, your kids can have endless fun in this water splash pad. Brilliant birthday party packages available and plenty of yummy restaurants in the vicinity.

5. Mattel Play Town

Barney, Angelina Ballerina, Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder and Thomas and Friends – do I need to say more. Perfect for the under 5s. This play town has plenty of activities to keep the little ones busy. I always feel like I’m getting a good price when I go here too which is a bonus. One adult goes free with each child and tickets start at AED 69 at the counter for an hour for the over 2s. If you buy online in advance you can save AED10.

Located at City Walk and beside Green Planet – there’s plenty of dining options and activities to keep you busy.

Thoughts, suggestions and reviews are my own and we’re not in any way affiliated with any of the attractions listed. Prices are true as of time of posting. Always call ahead for prices and opening times.
