Bliss balls

Bliss balls

This isn't the first time we've shown off our bliss balls on eco rascals but I thought these were too good to keep to ourselves.

These date balls are perfect food to break from your fast if you are fasting this Ramadan. They are full of antioxidants, taste delicious and yet are really good for you.

We always try and provide recipes that can work for whole families and think you'll really enjoy our bliss balls, pictured on the eco rascals bamboo elephant plate here.

We hope most of these ingredients are easy to get hold of or simple store cupboard staples:

Ingredients

12 pitted dates
2 tbsp of nut butter; or 90 g rolled oats with 1 tbsp of maple syrup
4 tsp of cacao powder

Your choice of toppings are endless

100’s and 1000’s
Desiccated coconut
Cacao powder
Pistachio nuts

Method

Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth
Divide into 12 portions and roll into balls
Now, roll your ball in your desired topping
Pop in the fridge for 2-4 hours and consume within a week (we're sure they'll go faster)

Get the kids involved

We love zero cook recipes! The children will love rolling the balls and dipping into their favourite toppings.
