Mango smoothie

We love smoothies. We put enough ice in them and we can pretend they are ice cream instead.

Turmeric is a bright yellow spice which contains antioxidants and other essential vitamins. It makes meals more flavoursome, colourful and nutritious.

It’s a great spice to add to food as the seasons change as it helps the body to maintain normal hydration and respiratory comfort  and can reduce phlegm.

It’s also known to support digestion and boost immune systems. Follow the ingredients below to make your own mango smoothie.

Ingredients

2 cups chopped mango

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1/4 cup fresh orange juice

1/2 ripe banana

2 tablespoons finely grated fresh turmeric

1 1/2 tablespoons light agave nectar or honey

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups ice cubes (optional)

Method:
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Coconut flakes
Blackberries
Quinoa pops
Granola
